James Crenwelge was born and raised in Doss, TX. He knows all about rural Texas living, having attended a four-room school house until the 8th grade. Dr. James attended Tarleton State University where he received a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2005, followed by a Masters in Animal Science with an emphasis in Ruminant Nutrition in 2007. Upon completion, he attended TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine until graduation in 2012. He moved to Bellville, Texas in May 2012 with his family where he was employed by Lamp Veterinary Clinic. In November 2016, Dr. Crenwelge started Star Hill Veterinary Clinic in Bellville. Dr. Crenwelge is married to his wife Amanda, who is an active member and advisor to Star Hill Veterinary Clinic. They have two daughters, Ella and Charlotte. Dr. Crenwelge and Amanda enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and working with 4-H and FFA members, since it was a pivotal part of their youth. The Crenwelge’s have a small farm including pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and they also enjoy raising show goats for 4-H and FFA projects.

Dr. Stefani is a native of Katy, TX. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University in 2015 and then went on to earn her DVM at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She grew up riding horses and competed in hunter/jumper events in local area shows. In high school, she was an active FFA member and enjoyed the time she spent traveling all around the great state of Texas for horse judging competitions. She grew up with several family pets including dogs, cats, and rabbits. She still owns her childhood horse, a Thoroughbred named Bentley as well as a pony named Woody, a German Shepherd named Reese, and a cat named Binx. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, riding her horse, and going to concerts and sporting events.

Lisa, otherwise known as Grandma, has worked as a vet tech for 17 years. She and her husband of 32 years live in a small town called Bernardo. Lisa raised one daughter and has three beautiful grandchildren she dotes on. When Lisa is not busy helping clients and animals at our practice, she fishes, works in her yard, and spends lots of time with her family.

Crystal was raised in the Bellville and Sealy areas. After graduation from Sealy High School in 2004 she served 7 years in the US Navy. In 2006 she had her son Lane, a talented young man with many aspirations. Upon exiting the Navy in 2011 she moved to Casper, WY where she received an Associates in Animal Science from Casper College in 2014. Finally she returned to Texas in 2018 and attended the Vet Tech Institute of Houston receiving an Associates in Veterinary Technology. Crystal joined our team in January 2020. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family especially outdoors and tending to her zoo of pets.
